BEARDMORE FINISHES

The Beardmore Collection offers a variety of exquisite finishes on our complete range of architectural hardware.

Our standard palette of finishes is illustrated below, and bespoke finishes, produced in-house at our foundry, are also available. Please note that because of the handmade nature of this product, and the limitations of electronic media there may be some minor variation between the metal finishes illustrated on this website and their actual appearance. Samples are available on request.

Care of Finishes

PRODUCTS FITTED INTERNALLY

Regular cleaning with warm soapy water should be sufficient to keep any finish in its original condition for a long period. The occasional use of a good quality wax polish is also recommended.

PLATED FINISHES
Will also benefit from the occasional use of chrome cleaner, followed by a wipe with a cloth impregnated with light oil.

RMBA & RUSTIC BRONZE
Will benefit from the occasional wipe with a cloth impregnated with light oil.

PRODUCTS FITTED EXTERNALLY

Environmental conditions can have a dramatic effect on the stability of surface finishes. Industrial pollution, high humidity, sea air and acidic rain may well cause a finish to deteriorate prematurely. Regular cleaning with good quality wax polish is recommended.

UNLACQUERED BRASSES & BRONZES

To retain the original finish, regular polishing with a good quality metal polish is essential. However, if the intention is to allow the surface to age through oxidisation then no attention needs to be given.
